Generally regarded as one of the prettiest villages in Scotland, Craigellachie sits on the banks of the River Spey between Rothes and Aberlour. Taking its name from the rock on which it stands, the village is home to two of the most famous whisky bars in the world: the Quaich Bar at the world famous Craigellachie Hotel and the Whisky Bar at the nearby Highlander Inn. In addition to an impressive range of cask ales, the Highlander Whisky Bar boasts over 300 single malts and has bagged no shortage of awards. Rooms and a restaurant are also provided. Founded in 1893, the Quaich Bar has an international reputation and houses over 900 single-malt whiskies from across the world. Village facilities included a children’s adventure playground and Salmon fishing.
