The Macallan’s state-of-the-art visitor centre has been carved neatly into the hills on the north side of the Spey, on the fringes of Craigellachie. The facility, which houses both the distillery and the visitor centre, might look like something out of The Hobbit but it is ever inch a 21st Century experience with touch screen tours through the years, 360-degree photos, and in-depth video content. The Macallan Six Pillars Tour offers a barrel room nosing and tasting opportunity featuring some carefully selected malts. The distillery recommend booking in advance to guarantee your visit, which can be booked online for groups of up to six guests.
